Are my political stances normal?

FIREARMS REGULATIONS:
It is likely that, in some countries or localities, imposing stricter firearms regulations may help to diminish violent crime either directly, or by limiting the flow of small arms to other areas of high violent crime. I will never relinquish any of my firearms for any reason.

ABORTION:
If I had a pregnant spouse, I would not allow her to have an abortion. I am neutral towards any other women aborting their unborn children. Incidentally, I would never be in an intimate relationship, or have children.

HOMOSEXUAL MARRIAGE:
Homosexuals are free to live together, have sexual relations with each other, and call their relationship a "marriage" if they so choose. I am free to not recognize this relationship as "marriage" if I so choose.

WAR:
I am neutral to the simple issue of war occurring. I myself will never participate in warfare in any way or for any reason.

HUMAN RIGHTS:
There is no such thing as "rights".

CIVIL RIGHTS:
(See above)

ANIMAL RIGHTS:
(See "HUMAN RIGHTS" above) I will kill any animal that I desire for any reason.

CAPITAL PUNISHMENT:
I will do everything in my power to avoid death. Otherwise, I am am neutral to this issue.

VOTING AND RUNNING FOR OFFICE:
I don't believe in human authority, so I will not take part in human governments by voting or running for office. I do not recognize the authority of any human being.

is it normal to have these stances?

  • You sir, are suffering from hillbilly-itis.. Unfortunately it has no cure.. But if you learn to read a book or two, it may prolong your isolation from other humans.

  • Youre definitly not John Locke.

  • FIREARMS REGULATIONS:

Restricting firearms only restricts those who purchase legally.

Look at DC. They had a complete ban on owning handguns... and the highest rate of gun-related crime. Why? Because criminals had them, and the law-abiding citizens did not.

    • That is true, but my point was that whether increased firearms regulations will or will not work to diminish violence is moot, as I personally will simply refuse to give up my weapons.

      • i would not want to give up mine either.

and i say anyone who wants to take them away is against the constitution which gives us the right to have them.

and therefore they should go form their own country and leave ours the hell alone =)

  • My underlying philosophy behind my political stances is as follows:

    - I do not feel the need to justify my behavior.

    - I do not believe in universal solutions.

    - I do not believe in human authority.

    - I do not have an opinion as to what other persons besides myself should and should not do.

    - I do not believe that I know what is best for mankind as a whole.

    - The opinions or feelings of others is not a factor in my own decision-making process.

    - The abstract is not real. "Rights", good, and evil do not exist.

    • Do you believe other human beings deserve the same rights that you'd confer on yourself?

      • I do not believe in rights, therefore I do not have rights.

A boulder rolls down a hill because of gravity, not because it has the right to do so. Similarly, all that I do, I do simply because I am able and willing to. The same goes for all other human beings.

        • Kind of interesting. Although I'm struggling to imagine how you can exist without a concept of, say, crime. How are you not in jail the whole time?

          • Most "crimes" I am simply not inclined to commit. The rest are too easy to get away with.

  • Contradictions much?

    Comment Hidden ( show )
  • Little extreme here and there, but I like your attitude.

  • You confuse me. Are you saying homosexuals can be together and call their relationship a "marraige," but not actually get married? That part confused me. Being neutral toward some issues and not having a strong opinion is understandable.

And, what did you mean when you said nobody has rights? I believe that everybody should have equal rights since we as humans are all created equal. And when you said animals don't have rights and you'd kill them for any reason...well that makes you sound like a douche. Sorry but not sorry.

  • You do realize that your "political stances" are all hypocritical and contradictory, right?

    • Explain.

      • FUCK I hate when people start sentences with "You do realize..." Man, people, don't be passive aggressive. Just be aggressive. B. E. Aggressive.

Anyway, they're contradictory. "- I do not have an opinion as to what other persons besides myself should and should not do." v. "If I had a pregnant spouse, I would not allow her to have an abortion."

        • It is not contradictory. The action of not allowing is my own action. It is not an opinion as to the the rightful action of another person.

          • That's ridiculous. That's like taking time out of your life to paint the interior of every single house you live in bright pink, even though you say you don't have an opinion on the interior colour of your house. Obviously, you have an opinion that bright pink is a better colour for you to have on the interior of your house, in the same way that obviously you have an opinion that your wife should never have abortions.

After all, if you didn't have an opinion on her having abortions, what would cause you to take action preventing her from doing so?
