I am also a guy around the higher end of five foot and I had the smallest hands as well growing up. The rumor about "big hands, Big ..." is horseshit and I wouldn't worry about it too much. Having smaller hands doesn't bother me, what bothers me is that my fiance has huge hands a feet and they dwarf mine.
