What do you mean by how often do I put my hands out flat? You mean how often do I check or stare at my hands? I would say, a lot. I'm try to do it less though. I'm currently working on the problems that you're mentioning, I'm seeing a Psyquiatrist.
I meant how often do you lay them out flat for other people to look at or criticise. Usually, we do things with our hands - hold a pen / drink, put them in our pockets, wave them about when talking, etc. The fingers are normally curled up slightly.
Honestly, there is no point in worrying about things that you cannot change. What can you do about it?

To be honest, I used to work in a bar and I go to one every weekend and I can tell you that I have never ever noticed any man's hands in my whole life!! I don't even think if you showed me a photo of my husband's hands I would know they were his. Our hands are always too busy to be inspected by others - don't worry so much.
