Are movies about killers glorifying them?

heh, i love discovery ID, but i think that the documentaries and films OP is talking about do give some people ideas that they otherwise wouldn't have on their own. also the news has great influence. take school shootings for instance, it's not a common crime anywhere else in the world, it's a very american thing. see, i'm not saying it doesn't happen elsewhere, but if you look up statistics you'll find there have been 50+ shootings in america as opposed to almost 20 in other countries combined. i think seeing that it has been done does influence people to act on their rage or whatever their motives and feelings are
