Are maggots healthy for you?

I would suggest cooking them in the best case. You could catch a parasite but if you are in a situation you can eat them. They wont borrow into your stomach and the acid would kill them. I'd just kill them first before swallowing since I dont want to feel my food kicking.

Maggots are best for a wound. They eat dead flesh and stay away from healthy flesh. The reason for this is that your healthy flesh will still try to kill the maggot while dead flesh cant.
