We pee, poo, eat, drink and sleep too so yes we are. There's only 1% difference between our DNA and that of a chimp, maybe 8-10% with cats.

Yes we are animals, The only difference is we have big brains. Are cheetahs still animals? yes the only difference is they run really fast. Every animals evolved differently but that doesn't set us apart. ONCE WE BECOME REBOTS THEN WE NO LONGER HUMANS

Actually the differnce is opposable thumbs and a stunning lack of defenses in the animal kingdom which made it nescessary to evolve our brains.

    • I do not wish to be a robot. Though I do believe that robots will replace the human workforce one day. Also the jobs that robots didn't replace will cease to exist(retail store jobs and any place that sells something) because Amazon killed them all.

Very interesting question. I think humans can by their behavior and good deeds elevate to a level which i consider better then animals. While if their behavior and deeds are bad, then they are far worse then animals and should not be compared to them in any shape or form.

Yeah. What makes us different is that we're not driven by pure instinct as most animals are.

Charity is group survival. A preservation mechanism.

Bees exhibit the behavior of self sacrifice. Thats not distinctly human and its instinctual to preserve future generations of the species.

Well....when we speak about what the bible says....we are more than just an animal.....but with regards to science...would you agree that we come from apes?..........
So in my opinion we are more than just an animal.......
But just like an animal we have instincts....and i agree humans are not driven by instincts......with regards to the "rapist"- they are driven by their instincts...so you can say that they are like animals.....

I think there's another difference. I think humans are the only species that enslave other species.
