Are girl crushes normal?

I'm a female in school and there's this girl a grade ahead of me who I really look up to. I think that she's gorgeous and an amazing artist and even though I haven't ever talked to her I find that I want to be just like her. I'm 99.99% straight, but I guess I could define this as a 'girl crush' even though I wouldn't say I'm sexually attracted to her... is the whole 'girl crush' thing normal?

    It's not exactly a crush per say but what you're describing is perfectly normal. You aspire to be like this girl.

    iv had a lot of girl crushes and i usually fantasize about them so id say if ur not sexual attracted then u just look up to this chik which is normal

    If you were asexual I would call that a squish which is the non sexual version of a crush. But since your straight i guess "girl crush" works too!

    Sure. People have all kinds of "crushes". Mom-crush, dad-crush, friend-crush, man-crush, girl-crush. I've got some myself. Just don't scone creepy obsessive...or keep that part to yourself. Lol.
