Are chubby girls gross?

I was wondering if it's nasty or unattractive to be a chubby girl. I am usually around 150 to 160 pounds (68 - 72 KG) and 5''1, and I exercise and dance regularly. I've been trying for a year to get my weight down but I guess this is where my body likes to be. It's not like I can't run or breathe when I stand up because I feel just fine, but I feel like I don't look fine. I have a bit of a belly and big thighs and a crease in my side and I wanted to know if I would never be attractive to anyone accept people with a BBW fetish or something if I stayed this weight. I wouldnt really consider myself BBW though but I feel like if someone were to be attracted to me, they would be into that sort of thing. Please be honest thanks

  • At the risk of sounding cliche, I am going to go with: You should love yourself before you worry about being attractive to others. For me personally, the personality of someone means more than how someone looks. I mean, we all get old and wrinkly eventually right?

  • Anything skinnier than morbidly obese is fine to me.

  • I'm "chubby" myself, I've put on quite a bit of weight recently. Looking at what you're BMI would be I'm going to be honest here, fatness is a very unattractive trait. People will tell you all this bullshit about "it doesn't matter," "you're just as beautiful as anyone else," but it's plain bullshit. People are superficial in their attractions, especially us guys and as I'm sure you've noticed already guys go for the thinner women. To be brutally honest, lose the pounds and you'll get a higher quality of guy, don't lose it them and you'll be stuck with guys who can't get the thin girls or people who have a bbw fetish. Don't listen to the bullshit on here, and heyy you don't even need to listen me, I'm sure your own experiences will tell you what you need to know.

  • At the end of the day it basically boils down to the fact that you're a real woman as opposed to a stick thin supermodel.

It's OK to have a bit of a belly, and you needn't preocupy yourself with how other people percieve you. Your own opinion is what matters most. Screw the haters and be proud of who you are.

  • If you're wondering if you are carrying too much baggage then look at your diet. You seem to be active enough. Lay off the junk food and the carbs like excessive amounts of bread cake and pie. Stick to fruit veggies and meat. Avoid fast food like the plague.

Having said all that I prefer women who have an extra pound or two than less.

  • As I'm sure you know, your BMI is hovering on the border between overweight and obese.

There will be some guys who find your body shape unappealing (and possibly even more women who think you're undisciplined and very fat), but I think a large part of how attractive you are to others is how attractive you feel. If you believe that you look "nasty", you'll give off that negative, self-hating vibe, and you'll possibly tend to dress in unflattering ways to self-sabotage.

Personally, I don't find very skinny women at all attractive, and women who are super-fit usually make me wonder if they have an unhealthy obsession with exercise and the image they project. Very heavy women don't immediately appeal to me either, but someone of your weight and general level of fitness seems to me just a normal, average, healthy woman.

By the way, the fact you exercise and are physically active is good for your cardio-vascular fitness, but the only way you're going to lose weight is by changing your eating and drinking habits. I'm not a fan of counting calories, but you might want to have a look at how much exertion is required to burn off the calories in your favourite snack or alcoholic drink. Small changes in what you consume can have a big impact on your weight in the long-term.

  • Are you using the word chubby to describe insanely obese women in a polite way?

Or are you using the word chubby to mean slightly juicy and all the right places?

The literal meaning of the word chubby, slightly overweight, is very cute on men and women both.

But just plain old overweight lumpy? Eh..

  • I don't mind if the person I date is chubby. But if you really want to lose weight check your diet.

  • Don't worry.

  • Only if they weigh 144 pounds.

  • Naw, not all of them are.

  • So many people are overweight now that it's become acceptable. Men don't tuck in their shirts anymore primarily because it hides their belly fat. Just accept who you are and you'll be fine.
I'm not going to recommend you lose weight because that would be like telling someone to quit smoking.
Ultimately, you control that and no-one here can change that.

  • Don't let your body just sit like that. An appropriate diet plan and exercise routine works on everyone, you aren't an exception. You will be much healthier and happier when you succeed!

But yeah, chubby isn't gross. I don't know what you look like but I think I can confidently say that 150 pounds isn't "BBW", even if you're 5'1". Keep up the exercise (cardio!), but you're looking at this in a much darker way than it deserves. If I wanted to be brutally honest at the risk of being downvoted, I'd call it average or plain. But it's not anywhere close to the universally-unattractive fetish exhibit you seem to think it is.

  • There's nothing wrong with being chubby just as there's nothing wrong with being skinny.

  • No.

Who doesn't love something soft to cuddle with?

When in need of comfort, people take pillows to bed.......... never sticks.
