If I had to choose where to live it would be the appalachian mountains. It is the poorest part of the country but has some of the cheapest land. I found a house out there with 10 acres and 3 bedrooms for $90,000. Thats like $600 a month mortgage for 10 acres and a decent house.

No doubt but even those places are pretty rural and pretty cheap compared to a major city
