Anyone else see a bunch of tiny black specks? like fleas?

Just found out that my 8 yr old sees a bunch of black specks that look like fleas all over everything. She says they are more noticeable in the dark. They only slightly move (probably because there are so many) and they don’t have any color or light to them. Doesn’t seem to be visual snow but maybe it is? And it’s not floaters. I asked her how long she’s noticed these and she said as long as she can remember. I seem to only be running into post about visual snow or people who see colored dots they can control and neither match up to what she has told me.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

I'd be taking her to an ophthalmologist.

Already did, she seems fine. No floaters and 20/20 vision.

And what did they say about the "fleas"?

Two different times I had similar experiences. Once I was sweeping my white kitchen floor when all of a sudden there were black dots on everything, the floor and the walls. Another time it appeared to be sand on the floor. I too went to eye doctor fearing something was wrong. Nothing was found. Told it was probably an aura and would end up with a migraine. I do get them, but I didn't get one either time. Maybe you should have her checked for them.

    Call an exorcist.
Just kidding, I really haven't the faintest idea of what it is.

      Lol that might work!
I have no idea either but there’s another post about people seeing colored glowing dots that they could control! She doesn’t have that thank goodness!

Could be floaters which can range from harmless to retinal detachment. Doctor time.

I dunno what to tell you, because I have floaters, and I think they're getting worse. Sometimes I think I see a fly, or something, but it's my floaters.
