Anyone else notice the 4 woman blonde bombshell train?

I'd be surprised if at least some people haven't noticed how between now and the 1930s, 4 different famous blondes have had very similar characteristics, with each one being inspired by the one/ones before her and following very similar style and attitude. The train going Jean Harlow, Marylin Monroe, Madonna, and Miley Cyrus. All famous blonde bombshells, each showing off and advertised sex appeal, and in strikingly similar ways. With Jean Harlow being the original, then Marilyn being inspired by her and flaunting similar traits, then Madonna being inspired by Monroe (and I'm sure Harlow too) and her flaunting similar traits, and then Miley being inspired by Madonna (and Marilyn and Harlow) and doing the exact same. Little alterations between each blonde sex bombshell of course due to changing times since Harlow in the 1930s, and each more recent bombshell pushing further the boundaries of raunchiness and censorship (and each more recent one showing more nudity and suggestive pictures/videos). But, they've all been on the same wavelength and each one has been inspired by the ones before her and has carried on expressing the same styles, attitudes, and blonde bombshell sex appeal. Has anyone else seen the connection in this particular way? Or, have some people just simply seen them as four different celebrities and that's it?

Are any of them even blonde? I dont think so. In fact, I am pretty sure Jean Harlow died from bleaching her hair.

    • Jean Harlow died young, but it had nothing to do with bleaching her hair, she died of pneumonia. Harlow did bleach her hair red in her last couple films, but was blonde all the rest of them. And Madonna was a burnett during parts of her career herself, but look at for instance how many of her music videos, photo shoot poses, etc. where she was blonde.

It doesn't matter if their blonde hair was natural or not, or that they had altered hair colors some of the time. Each of those women had blonde hair during a good part of the height of their fame, and were known for being blonde sex symbols. And being blonde wasn't the only attribute which made the women similar to each other. Even when they weren't blonde, they still each had similar styles and attitudes revolved around their image of flaunting their sex appeal, and that was a big similarity among each of them.

While influenza may have had a small roll in her death, she died of cerebral edema which is a complication of kidney failure.

She was a sickly woman who had suffered from polio, meningitis and scarlet fever as a teen.

She used Clorox bleach, peroxide, ammonia and lux on her hair weekly. This creates hydrochloric acid. Certainly not good to breath in for someone with already deteriorating kidneys.

All contributing factors. She died bald.

        • You're right. Actually, I did see that in a YouTube docuvideo about her. In her final film "Saratoga", it was mentioned that her kissing scenes with Clark Gable did not go well, but they didn't explain why in much detail on that. But, it was mentioned how Harlow wasn't feeling well at all during some of her shooting scenes, probably not well enough to kiss, plus maybe her breath from her failing kidneys made it hard for Gable to kiss her. And about her dying with her real hair having fallen out, the video did mention that her red hair in part of that film was a wig.

  • Most of them weren't and aren't real blondes.
