It's quite frankly innocent and non-sexual, at least that's the kind of age regression OP is referring to since there's an option for people with DID. Not dating someone because of a cope mechanism they have would probably just make them feel even more like shit if you tell 'em.

I would still find that uncomfortable to watch, seeing an adult trail a pencil along a page spelling out words in big squiggly letters and talking about Twilight Sparkle in a high kiddie voice would almost be like watching someone have a stroke to me.
