When my friends were going out and having fun together when I was in school, I wasn't allowed to go anywhere. Once, I lied just so that I could go up to the high street (a ten minute wlk from my house) with them. I got found out and my parents acted as though it was a huge deal. My friends though I was a sad case. Rightly so.
I am now 18. I'm a little bit bitter at how my parents didn't afford me any independance at all and simply locked me up to "keep me safe." I took a walk with my dad a couple of months ago and my bitterness came out in the conversation somehow. I was saying how I am now socially retarded. I have to work much harder than everyone else because I have to catch up. I get anxious about anything social. I'm still lonely, but I'm determined that it won't always be that way.
You know what, I think that you should have a talk with your mum. If your mum doesn't relent at all, then for your best interests, I think that you should rebel. Don't go over the top and destroy your house by inviting a million unknown people over or something stupid like that. Just get the hell outta there! Sure, she'll get mad at you, but you need to get out of there or this will dog your for life, seriously. Parents mean well most of the time, but as the other people have said, she seriously needs to step off and you need to tell her.
Any point of living lonely?????IS THERE??
