Finally someone else who admits this! I’ve tried to enjoy cooking so many times and I just don’t. I tried courses, I tried cooking with other people, I even tried faking an Italian accent whilst cooking and I still find it long winded and tiresome.
My girlfriend doesnt understand that eating a cup of noodle means that I dont care about the taste, I care that it took 3 minutes and two simple steps to make a hot meal.
Then when she makes actual cooked food I repay her by doing the dishes. Doing the dishes is a small price to pay for her cooking. Best part is that shes eager to learn new recipes.
I can do our taxes and she can cook. Turns out gender roles work for us.

My girlfriend can cook, she finds it fun. A skill that I honestly dont find fun in any way shape or form.

Not saying that every household has to deal with their issues the same way. Just saying theres nothing like the classics, as you play into your roles.
