  • I have/had this, big time. There are endless causes and endless solutions, but here's one that has done wonders for me: Megadosing Vitamin C. We humans can't make it in our bodies, and this is an evolutionary cock-up of epic proportions! The RDA for vitamin C is woefully inadequate - merely enough to prevent scurvy. The only other animals that can't synthesise Vitamin C have diets that give them LOADS (e.g. Fruit bats, some primates). The animals that can synthesise it make LOADS - and up to 10 times as much when stressed!

    So get a decent vit C supplement, and take it every few hours (the body can't store it). As much as you like, 10,000mg a day if you like - it won't do you any harm (being about as toxic to the body as water!) and will interact with cortisol and probably have a dramatic effect on your anxiety.

    I hope it works for you as well as it has for me. Google it, it's clear even from just the Wikipedia articles that we all need more of it!
