Anime is not shit

You aren't old enough to be on here.

It doesn't sound like he really meant it was shit. People refer to all kinds of things as shit. It's just a common turn of phrase.

I've got to admit I used to be one of those people, I had a biased view, I had a friend the first year of high school who was into this weird shit called bible black, I knew that not all anime would be like that but because of it I never Gave it a chance as an art form which was wrong of me, a few years later I watched totoro which changed my opinion a bit, then grave of the fireflies, akira and ghost in the shell but it was neon genisis evengellion that made me realise what can be done in anime.

But you shouldn't care so much why other people think of your tastes, I know its easier said than done but fuck them, watch what you want :)

Some of it is really good if it's translated and dubbed properly. But some of it is absolutely awful and confusing.

If people who hate Anime make you cry how are you on the internet?

Don't cry op. Different opinions for different people. Crying about it will get you no where and it will give those who hate anime power over you. Learn not to care about their words.

Back in middle school there was a kid who would constantly come over to see what anime me and my friends were watching, then run around screaming we were watching Anime porn.

Anyone who thinks anime can't be deep/artistic has obviously never watched a Studio Ghibli/Hayao Miyazaki film.

Anime can be cheesy as hell, but I think that's the point.
