    Why the Hell does a twelve year-old NEED anime? What she needs is to learn a musical instrument, and or a foreign language, because both of those activities are great for brain development! Also a kid her age NEEDS to get involved in physical fitness and the arts so she be in shape, and develop some character. Watching lots of anime and playing too many video games is such a waste of time!

    Seriously, if you love that kid you won't encourage this dorky bullshit.

      You know it may sound a little biased & you will probably think that I can only talk about anime(& for the most part you are right too) but anime are fun & inspirational too. You all say a kid shouldn't watch anime but she should care about her fitness to be in shape(I mean really a 12yro). Anime are fun & kids need to have fun for better brain development.
      Wish I had watched anime when I was 12. But I was into all that kind of things you just talked about but still....

        I studied ballet from about age seven to sixteen, and it was one of the best things I ever did! My father will tell you the same thing about baseball. I have a cousin who started playing the piano at five, and is now a professional musician.

        Anime is overrated.

          Tell me didn't you wanted to eat a lot of chocolates,candies & watch cartoons(or anything that was fun for you). I know you probably think that it's the Best things that has ever happened to you but here is the catch human beings will always find something to regret no matter what they do
          & you know what they say"At the end of the life u regret about the stuff u didn't do more than the stuff u did".

          how can you say that anime is overrated I am pretty sure you have never watched it,you are just judging it based on your preconceptions.
