America isn't the only country with a free market. Almost every country has one to a large extent. And almost every country has more widepread poverty than the US. Laissez-faire economics and poverty are not mutually exclusive.
I'm not saying the free market is not the best system we have. I was careful NOT to say that. Just don't say that it makes, and I quote, "EVERYONE richer". It doesn't. The poor are richer if wealth is redistributed. Therefore, it is a lie to say that everyone is richer if it is not.
Rewarding failure and penalizing success is NO way to run a country. Someones gotta foot the bill and if you make the successful ones pay for hte failures you're garanteed to run a country into the ground. Money WILL run out.
You are not listening. I never said I disagreed with you, rather that you are talking in terms of absolutes as opposed to specifics. Without specifics, you are wrong. With the specifics, you may or may not be right, but at least then you make sense.
