Amp addict

Is it normal to be addicted to an energy drink?

Ever since i went to this gift shop, when i had my first amp, i've been hooked to this junk. Its been months and i cant stop so i dont know wat to do.

Also i was wondering if i could get some advice on how to quit? But i dont want people telling me its easy and all that cuz its the hardess thing i ever tried.

ugh. i have to drink amp sometimes when i pull all nighters for school. they really tear up your insides, you know... they are horrible for your heart and kidneys and even though i can drink about 2 or 3 in a night if need be, i cant imagine drinking it everyday.
what you should do is throw all of the amps you have right now in the trash, or better yet, just pour them down the drain.
then you need to get a big water bottle and carry it around with you, every time you feel like you need a drink of amp just sip the water instead.
you will probably experience some discomfort or lack of energy because your body isnt used to going without high doses of caffeine everyday, but you can ease that with just one cup of coffee or caffeinated tea in the morning.
its not going to be super easy but if you really want to quit its just something you have to do. good luck.

  • Personally I feel like it's no different than coffee. Sure it has a lot of other stuff in it but I use to drink 1-2 energy drinks a day an that was in middle school.

I've liked energy drinks since I started college...I was drinking one probably every other day at school. I still drink one when I have to be at work early to wake me up, or if I'm going someplace sometimes. Only from time to time though...AMPs, Monsters, Full Throttles, Red Bulls, and other energy drinks can get to be a pretty unhealthy (and pricey) habit to get into, so if you like energy drinks then just drink one like on an every-once-in-a-while basis.

I agree. You need to stop, but quitting cold turkey can lead to some serious caffeine withdrawal. Trust me, it's not fun. Ease yourself off the caffeine gradually.
