I think women tend to care more about their teeth and smiles then most men do. Have seen so many hot, beautiful women with perfect teeth, with or dating guys who could really use a dentist, but don't go. My gf has health issues with her back and other things that hinder her walking (she walks a little hunched over, and slow), and has scars on her arm from a previous job, but, also has an amazing, sexy smile that draws people in. Her other issues don't matter, b/c of her sly, sexy smile and gorgeous green eyes. Nobody sees the arm scars (at least, at first), b/c that smile of hers just takes your attention. She's fantastically beautiful even with the health issues.
