Some guys I notice scared women off because they have RFF, or resting freak face, where their facial expressions look continually nervous and freaked out. However, they often are nervous and really creep women out because to them, nervous equals desperate, and often they really are desperate, particularly if they're deliberately initiating a lot of conversation while they're feeling nervous and desperate. That's why a guy must be relaxed around women, particularly if he's going to initiate interaction. Even if the guy is not intentionally letting anyone know he's nervous and desperate, many women can still often read him like a book.
