Am i the only one who doesn't get it?

I'll get straight to it. I don't get the big deal about the word c**t. At all. I know so many people who find it incredibly offensive and I not only don't understand it I find it mildy stupid and hypocritical as most I know who hate it use every other swear. Is it normal to just not understand the outrage?

I don't know, everyone has a word or phrase that makes them tick. For some people it's fuck, for some people it's cunt, and heck for some people it's moist. Cunt is just an ugly word with a negative connotation that is used to refer to something that should be regarded as natural and beautiful.

    • Just curious:do you know of any who thinks "moist" is obscene? I don't know many people (including myself) who say it in any context really, its sort of a weird word. But so obscene that to some people it has the same connotation/evokes the same emotional response as it does with "cunt" in many people? I guess that would make sense because I can comfortably reference sex with my friends, but when someone uses "moist" to describe something of sexual nature it is so graphic that it becomes sort of obscene and seems disrespectful/brazen..

Yes, in fact I know so many people (really only girls) who hate the word moist it's as if someone who doesn't hate the word moist is hard to come by. Lol

They don't normally reject you for profanity, but I see where you are coming from.

Congratulations, you filled the missing letters in order to form a different word. You must be a genius, I would have never thought of it. I don't think anyone here would. You are just too much for us. You are always a thousand steps ahead of everybody here. Don't waste your talent on this site, you could be hanging out with other gifted people.

It's OK, I have nothing against you, so I won't. It's just that I can't stand this douche bag. Read his other comments, this one being a perfect example of his assholeness:

Congratulations. Your sarcastic retort to suckonthis9's fairly innocent (albeit predictable) quip was impressive, obviously warranted and a clear display of your intellectual prowess! Thank goodness for your superior contribution. I would have never thought of it. I don't think anyone here would. You are just too much for us. You are always a thousand steps ahead of everybody here. Don't waste your talent on this site, you could be hanging out with other gifted people.

In te Middle Ages in England it wasn't a swear word. There were many streets called cuntgrope lane. The names were later changed to love lane. Used to be just a normal word, makes you wonder how it got to be such a profanity

    Comment Hidden ( show )
  • Oooh, I like that word.

I guess it all depends on where you come from and the context. It's fairly common here to call your mates cunt or some other offensive word; no offense given, none taken.

Edit: I didn't read any comments but mine's basically what Darkoil said.

It can be used in different contexts of varying severity. The worst is if you use it as a derogatory word for a women however I call my female friends cunts just as I do with my male friends eg " Will you stop being a cunt and pass me a beer" and in that respect it can sort of be exchanged with the word idiot. Maybe it's just in England but teenagers usually use really offensive words in exhange for a lot of regular words now but it isn't ment to be offensive.

I get why it's offensive, it's a bad name for a lady's privates. But I don't find it offensive when someone calls me that
