  • I agree with you on your statement about the Republicans being better at conducting foreign policy. That is one thing, I liked about both George Bush senior and junior was their very tactful way of dealing with threats from abroad. I believe in the Iraq war it was necessary, and I believe the world is a safer place because of it. I realize we are still fighting over there but casualties are way down and a lot of progress has been made. We have shown those people what freedom is and I think the citizens of Iraq (at least most of them) are very happy with what has happened since the war began.

I understand your feeling about the "us verses them mentality" and agree that we have to be very diplomatic when it comes to dealing with foreign affairs. The world is a scary place right now, and we need good competent leadership to lead our country. I am politically independent just like you, I just want the best leadership for our country be it Democrat or Republican.

agreed. and the worst thing is that not only have we the US not had good leadership from either party, but there has been bad leadership throughout the entire world.

The US, Russia, China, France,Israel, Spain, and many other countries are now and/or have been lead by small-minded narrow-visioned mediocre people not up to the task of handling the world's situation.

      Am i being too negative?
