Am i the only one having a strong preference for brown eyes ?
Greetings.
When I was younger, I used not to pay real attention to eye colour. It was for me as it was for everyone. I didn't care much about it, didn't even think about it, like I think most people do.
But as I came through puberty I developped some kind of... I don't know ? Some kinda focus on eyes. It's for me the most important part of someone's face, and especially the colour. Since that time, I've always liked more brown eyes as I was creating what would be the "ideal" female and male body to me. What was my concept of beauty.
I quickly notticed that first off, most people didn't have a care in the world about it, or at least didn't really mention it. Which was not really my case. When I tell people I don't like blue eyes and I really prefer brown eyes, that I find more attractive, they often argues that I'm just jealous. As if brown eyes weren't attractive and blue eyes were the only really "cool" eye colour.
Of course, I do not consider brown eyes are superior, because no eye colour is "superior". I just think some are more attractive than some others, to me, whereas most other people seem to prefer light eyes like green and especially blue eyes.
I am trying to understand this focus on blue eyes a lot of people seem to have. I have never met ANYONE else than me who had a focus on brown eyes, though I've known many who were attracted by some person's blue eyes, especially very light blue ones - similar to ice color, almost white.
Then, am I just different ? Why are blue eyes so liked by everyone, while brown eyes are just considered normal while sometimes they're even depreciated (which, by chance, did never happen to me personally, but I've seen it on various sites).
