For e.g. If the parents tell the child that they can be successful in a career but when they grow up the other person tells them that they can't be in that specific career because it isn't for them.
Another reason why I hate it is because it causes mass confusion when given false hopes.
Am I overreacting if I hate parents who give their children false hope?

Its possible that the other person that told you the career isnt for you is wrong. People can be assholes.
