Hell, I'm in the same boat.
All (or most) of my female friends have kids now. But no matter how happy they say they are, they are going through difficult times.
Me, I am 20 and I am married but it was not exactly something I was rushing to do. I'm a Mormon and we tend to marry young in our family. But I also have a full-time job and do not live with my parents or anything-I'm on my own, so I made the decision as an adult and not out of necessity or desperation, I have a life and plenty of friends, I'm just living by my values (rare, huh?)
I'm not envious of them. I can't imagine having kids right now! My husband and I are just working to get our degrees and make money and enjoy life, if you don't have kids yet then be thankful because I don't know one mother in my age group that truly wanted to have kids and a domesticated family life at the time.
I'm 20 too. And it funny how they try to glamorize it on facebook. I thank my mom for raising me not to be a follower. I live in a small town so it like if one person does something everyone else is doing it, and all I can do is wish the best for them. I also hope you have many, many wonderful years of marriage! :)
Am I moving too slow?
