Am i immune to covid?

I live in a covid hotspot and my almost my whole family got covid. My sister, brother in law, wife, son. My son had it pretty badly and also my wife was sick for 2 weeks straight and still coughs. She tested positive. I never took a test but im 99% sure I had it because I developed a cough and noticed on my daily jog I felt I couldnt get enough air so I had to stop. This only lasted a day and my cough lasted about 3 days. My wife and son are way healthier than me why did I not get covid worse? I did heroin coke and heavy drinkin for a decade and have some kidney problems from it. How come covid was so easy for me and so hard for the rest of my family? I never even got a fever.

    Covid is fucking weird.

My boyfriend friend was completely asymptomatic despite the fact that he is obese, has asthma, and kidney issues.

Another friend of his is still is tired all the time, has bad coughing fits and can no longer exercise despite the fact that she no longer has covid. She was always skinny, exercised, never drank, never did drugs, and things like a cold never bothered her. She was perfectly healthy before covid fucked her up.

Another was vomiting so much, she went to the hospital. Just when it seemed like she was completely better, covid decided to kill her. She was also quite healthy before she got it.

He also had two other friends that got it, but they said it was like the flu and they're fine now. They're former drug addicts ffs!

I don't understand it at all. It pisses me off that it fucked up his friends who didn't deserve it. I'm trying my best not to get it. My mother gets sick really easily and once almost died after a botched dental operation. I have no idea how it would affect her, and I have zero intent of finding out.

    • My wifes grandfather got it when he was just getting over pneumonia that was unrelated and he was fine as well. My sister and brother law didnt get it too bad but then my sisters friend said it was worse than the flu and she had a really hard time with it. Its pretty odd.

Scientists are still learning about why some people get symptoms and others don’t. You still my be a carrier, so you have to be careful.

You’re an idiot for not taking a COVID test irregardless of being in close contact with positive cases. If you never took a taste you cannot prove you were like 80% of positive cases that were fortunate enough to suffer mild symptoms. If you have any medical related questions, contact a medical professional instead of asking a random message board on the internet.

While I can agree with this, and that they should've taken a test, I think you should not use words such as "idiot". It's not very nice, and you might get into trouble. Just saying-
