A few weeks ago, I had unprotected sex. I am now experiencing light brown clotting. I am not sure if it is a sign of a period that is coming, however I'm not scheduled for another week and a half for that.. or, am I pregnant? I have cramps, like period cramps as well.
God, I completely messed that one up; the post above yours is with regards to a female on the pill.
Get a pregnancy test! 7NZD here ($5.28 US) with 99% accuracy. (bare in mind it is VERY rare to get a false positive. Negatives can be wrong depending on chemical balances in your body and whether you perform the test correctly)

My period is due on the 25 -27 of each month however it got to the 6th of December and still no sign of the almighty mate. The reason I didn't intitially get a test is because I was cramping as if I were getting my period; this was confusing for me. I took two pregnancy tests (trust me after one is positive, your brain shuts down and you don't believe anything) that were positive and I am now confirmed 8 weeks pregnant. This is great for me as I was diagnosed infertile when I was fifteen.
If you are spotting and your period is noticeably strange my first suggestion would be to get an @home test. If your periods are usually regular, a disrupted one is the sign of a change within your body, not necessarily pregnancy.
When I was on the pill, my periods became increasingly irregular and brown spotting occurred. I would say this would be a result of the medication disrupting your body. Contraception is the likeliest to cause a change to your period, and as long as you took your pill as directed and waited the 7 days before unprotected sex, you should be OK.
Doctors suggest condoms and the pill for higher protection, otherwise you'll end up a new Mum just like me! :D
