  • Masturbation is still a sin. Just because there's something worse doesn't make your behavior acceptable.

    • And so is LUST in the first place. I mean, why don't people put in some extra effort to break away from religious constraints before it's too late?

According to Christianity, for example, mere sexual desire = actual fucking, anger = killing. And that the solution is to pray to God to give you the Holy Spirit to help you alleviate such 'sinful' inclinations.

So why are we born with those feelings in the first place? Would a person who successfully managed to couple up with someone they desired by employing good social skills and the dos and don'ts of seduction that out of a desire to hook up with someone of their preference they had to learn about, or a high performing athlete who taught themselves to channel their anger into a sport activity be equated to someone mocking the Holy Spirit, and therefore mocking God himself?

      • If you're going to pretend you know something about Christianity, maybe you should actually learn something about Christianity. Lust is a venial sin, while premarital sex and masturbation are mortal sins. There's an extreme difference between the two. To be angry at someone isn't a sin at all, while murder is a mortal sin. To let your anger control you is a sin, while controlling your anger is not a sin. We are born with those feelings because Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. To not call upon the Holy Spirit to help you through things is not to mock the Holy Spirit. To mock the Holy Spirit is to mock the Holy Spirit.

        • That's Catholicism, not Christianity.

Just trying being a pedant, like you suggested :)

In terms of Christianity, that other guy was right, FYI.

          • That's according to the protestants. The protestants are barely Christians, if they are at all.

            • You realise Catholicism is idolatry, right?

Don't get me wrong, they're both dumb af, but I'm not an idiot following blindly, so...

        • Was your comment written with an utter disregard of what Jesus Christ's teachings were about, or just a deep-seated urge to one up someone who questions the legitimacy of religion citing examples from Christianity?

          • It was not written with a disregard of Jesus's teachings. It doesn't go against any of Jesus's teachings. What it does, though, is comply with the church's teachings.

      • You acted like being aroused by the idea of having sex with a sleeping person is a worse sin, when it's not even a sin.

        • That's the point of the question, it is something that makes me feel bad about myself and i can't accept it so i was asking if it is normal and ok or sick and weird?

          • Well, I've answered your question. It's not normal, but it's morally okay.

            • A sleeping person cannot consent, you idiot.

Before you join the priesthood, I want you to consider the ways that satan has damaged mankind over he centuries by distorting religious doctrine by just enough so it is not noticeable. Blatant examples include the atrocities of the crusades, and German Christians failing to stop the butchery of the Jews, as well as Hindus burning unwanted brides to death.

To say masturbation is worse than date rape, or beastiality is blind obedience to one of Satan's subtle distortions. This is a friendly warning that you must think for yourself or the flames of hell will be your destiny. In fact, your eproctophilia confirms that your name is in the book of the damned that was written before the beginning of time. In the future, we will talk more about your enjoyment of farts (the fumes of hell), and about minimizing evil conduct during your life to minimize your punishment in the afterlife. For now, I want you to think about ethical implications of YOUR actions. Blind obedience opens your weaknesses up for subtle exploitation by Satan.

              • There is nothing inherently wrong with being sexually aroused by something. Like I said, the idea of being attracted to something is not a sin. I never said nor implied the morality of actually having sex with a person who's sleeping (which is a sin); if I did, my problem with it wouldn't be lack of consent (as someone who's awake can consent to have something done to them in their sleep, otherwise people could question the morality of anesthesia during a surgery that legally requires consent), it would be the fact that the sex wouldn't be considered unitive. I'm not planning on joining the priesthood, I'm planning on being a linguist. Bestiality is worse than masturbation, as it adulterates the animal as well as the human. Rape is also worse than masturbation, as it adulterates the rapist as well as the one who was raped. Your usage of the phrase "the fumes of Hell" when referring to flatulence has no religious basis at all. Someone who is blindly obedient wouldn't dislike Vatican II or the current Pope.

              • Man you make it sound like i am satan, all i said is that it's something that turns me on and it's a reaction i can't control, if i thought it was okay i wouldn't be here asking all this ! I want you to understand that i hate that i feel that but i can't control it
