Most normal people understand that the tax code is complicated and that they need assistance with it. Investments and the taxes are never simple. Yet, a certain group of people seem to think that they can avoid getting an appropriate adviser involved.
I believed you named at least a good portion of that group in your title.
May I suggest that you start learning wisdom - and get the professional assistance you need.
Note: cyber-currancies are considered investments in the USA. I cannot imaging getting involved with Bitcoin, etc. unless its on a large enough scale to hire the appropriate financial & tax services to properly track them.
