Yep could be that when you smoke pot, it can affect blood pressure. Like what the above commenter said, possible oxygen deprivation as well. My boyfriend has blacked out a small handful of times after smoking pot. Nowadays when we smoke we try to make sure he is somewhere safe and comfortable so in the worst case scenario if it does happen, he wont fall and hurt himself or anything. So yeah just try to make sure youre sitting in a good place where if you black out and slump over or anything, you're not gonna get hurt.
For me, I (very) occasionally black out when blood sugar drops. Having orange juice or anything with a little sugar in it can prevent me from passing out if I catch it quick enough.
