I have talking to someone since June met him via a dating website, nothing dodgy... it was going well the constant communication but lately all we talk about is hockey since we support the same team. The chats are pretty consistent and we always reply one another. Always. Earlier I made it explicitly clear that I wouldn't entertain sexting and I feel like I overreacted by saying so and now there's nothing left to explore and feel like we are wasting keystrokes. Is it normal for it to go downhill like this or am I overreacting just like typical woman? What else should we talk about? Help.

    So in basis the image he has of you is that you probably don't have a sexual bone in your body... And if you do, then he'll never see it.

    You placed the barriers, so the ball's in your court. One word. Flirt.

    He'll be withdrawn at first. Which is okay because at that point it'll just seem like you're teasing him. It'll make you look playful and he'll dare step over that line you set little by little.

    He might even call an apple an apple just to be sure and ask wassup. Improvise. Say you wanted to know his character before you got to know his sexual side or something.

    This way you get to coerce him into taking the reigns without looking like a perv, or like you're comming onto him.

    Although I kinda am worried. If you were gonna go ahead and place such an outrageous wall, do you know how to flirt in the first place? Should come naturally to girls though so meh...

      Oh you'd be surprised... Flirting is somewhat of a very elusive skill for the female species. Girls know how to take being hit on. 95% have no clue how to handle the other side of the coin. But like you said. It's her fault.

        I would never want to flirt with someone. I wouldn't degrade my feelings for someone to the level of flirtation and 'banter.'

    When you put out absolutes like absolutely no sexting it can push things way into the opposite direction...into benign sterile conversations. You may in fact have sealed your fate into the "friendzone."

      Thanks for your input what do you suggest I do/say to unseal myself out of the friendzone if I am in it now, show him I want him as more than just texting buddies without the degrading sexting which I think ought to be for people in relationships.
