Did anyone have Alice in Wonderland syndrome as a child? I did and thought I was crazy, because it is indeed quite rare. Surroundings grew surreal, I saw things expanding and felt shrinking in my chest, sound perception was the most powerful alteration: I thought that if a feather had fallen I could have heard it landing on the floor... It's very different than a panic attack, although it is scary for a young child. I'd love to hear your stories!
I never heard of this until now but I just googled it and I seem to have this symptom quite severely. I have little depth perception and my senses have always been distorted from what other people describe. I have been diagnosed with aspergers and schizoaffective, both which distort perceptions, but a lot of this description is close to what I experience perceptually .
My perceptions are more perminatly distorted and somewhat blury. Ive never figured out how to explain it quite right. Someday I will make a video that explains, although a video wouldnt describe everything perfectly. Time seems especially blurry and the boundries of space and time are somewhat vague.
