Actually i am in a relationship and its almost 1 year but i have one thing that makes me insecure that we have a 5 years of age difference and does that affects our relationship sometimes i it feel as if i am not able to understand him or his points and then in a rush of seconds i feel everything is perfect and we are okay well he never made me insecure about this but its only me who constantly keep thinking i just wanted to know what are advantages and disadvantages about this and should i give it importance or concentrate on my relationship which is going well.

    My boyfriend is 7 years older than me and I love it. We are on the same page about everything. Age literally doesn't matter (as long as 18+ of course), it's the persons actually personality and your compatibility with that person that would effect your relationship.

      agreed. 5 years is nothing. there are people out there who date and are like 15 years apart haha

      i wouldnt look at age, like you said i would look at how well you two get along, personality and all that

    It depends. Are you 13?

    As long as you're both legal then it's not a big deal. It's not that big of a difference. If it bothers you that much, you might want to consider getting someone closer to your age... whatever that may be.

    5 years difference isn't a big deal, my father is 5 years older than my mother. Heck, my great grandfather was 20 years younger than my great grandmother!

    If you love each other, then age should not matter.

    The older you both get the more the ages will coincide.
