You really should put the lid down whenever you flush.

It's a proven fact that the flushing will cause particles of your feces and urine to go airborne.... and if your toothbrush is near the toilet ... Yes, scientists have already discovered that the particles WILL end up on your toothbrush.

So think before you flush. Do you want your shit and piss on your toothbrush?

I put the lid down and flush. My husband leaves the lid up and flushes. My brother in-law puts the lid down and doesn't flush. My other brother in-law just gets up and walks away.

Yes! Poop makes the water dirty obviously and when you flush, this water definately splashes upwards!
