Afraid of my basement

I am afraid of my basement everytime I'm down there I have to have a light on if not and I'm either down there or starting to come up if the lights are not on I panic and rum up the stairs almost tripping myself. Is it because I don't like the dark or because of the idea movies placed into my head? Is it normal, does anyone else do this or is it just me?

    I always think theres gonna be a deformed person when its dark down there, it sucks... Unless its Sloth, that would be kickass

    It's called carry a Bible with you whenever you go down there and pray that six pound eight ounce baby Jesus is with you.
