When I was 41 I lived with a 19yo girlfriend and it lasted about 3 years. It can cause a lot of problems. Age is a number, that's true, but the older person is far more advanced and experienced in life, whereas the younger person wants to do things their way, even though the older person knows it doesn't work that way. Problem really comes as the both age. It's difficult for them to be at the same place emotionally with such an age difference.
