Adult acne

When i was a pre-teen i got acne really bad and figured it was from hormones. Around 16-17 it slowed down and i only broke out around my period. Then i finally got it to the point that i would only have a small break out maybe once a month. Keep in mind that i stopped drinking sugary drinks and didnt eat processed food. With everything i have going on right now, i started eating really unhealthy and drinking pop. My acne has flared up and i dont know if its from stress, a change in hormones, or the way im eating. Ive read that what you consume doesnt effect acne? Or could it be that Im a smoker? any help?

You should stop eating unhealthy for a while and see if it stops, then if it doesn't, at least try to stop smoking to see if it's the problem. I know it's hard to stop but if it's the problem then you should stop, smoking is bad anyway

Did you change cosmetics. I had adult acne when I started using Mary Kay.

I hate adult acne. When I was younger, I figured when I turned 20, my acne would go away. WRONG! It finally let up when I hit 25 or so. Though I've been noticing some flaire-ups, which are verrrrry annoying. Every day, I wish I could have nice, normal skin.

I am 25 and I am just mow having problems with acne and I eat way healthy and drink lot's of water. I also have a very good skin clansing routine. I guess the only way to know fir sure what is up is by going to a dermatologist

It is true that we assume many things give us acne that really do not. So you are right in that aspect. I think perhaps you are just plagued by adult acne. Try a different facial routine and see if that helps. Sometime people dont moisturize because they think their skin is already oily but actually people with dry skin have oilier skin because it over compensates for the dryness.

Hmm I don't really know but maybe your body naturally reacts to certain foods a certain way! :)
