You are adding his name to a public notice. I would ask his permission first otherwise people in town who walk by may assume you're friends, and you might have a reputation you are unaware of that would hurt his social status amongst his family and friends.
Just saying, you could be guilty by association. Look at Epstein. He didn't want to be there either. We don't always have a choice, but in this case you have total control.
