I have never understood why in the midst of all of these abortion arguments neither side seems to think of adoption. it seems to me like the it is the best choice between the two. So you don't want to keep the baby, why not give it to someone who wants it. and with a lot of adoption these days, you can and do get to pick the parents of who will get your baby. The argument against Adoption is that it is too hard to give up the baby but Abortion isn't a cake walk. It's just as hard.
I agree. I think there should be a focus now on making adoption a more social acceptable choice for women. I get the impression that society views adoption as "shameful", "selfish", or "giving up".
If attitudes changed in favor of adoption, I think attitudes would also change against abortion.
As I said, I'm selfish. I wont even try to deny this. IF I ever carry a baby for nine month It should be all mine and I would not want to give it up.
I'm also scared of giving birth.
At the same time I LOVE sex and I'm trying to protect myself as good as I can with pills, that instantly makes me way better than other sluts that doesn't even do this.
I'm only using the pill. I have sex between 2-3 times a day (In his company) and in my opinion it sort of ruins the feeling of intimacy a bit, something I rather have with my boyfriend.
Most people I know that's in a relationship are on the pill or similar birth controls, but when my mum was young she used both.
Abortion: Men's take.

You make a good point. Would be very nice to see an adoption advocacy.

L.O.L. I appreciate your honesty and I applauder you for using the pill and stacking up on protection. A condom alone just doesn't do it.
