A teen called me old lady? i'm 27

They must've been around 16 or 17 I'm not even old enough to be their mom and when I told them to pull up their mask while asking me where something was at the store I work at they said "okay old lady you're obviously a millennial."

I got annoyed so I said I am a millennial but I'm definitely not old and they started laughing telling me to go listen to my music on my CD player and then stuck his middle finger up.

I let him walk away after that but is this common/normal for a teen to treat a 20 something like this?

To teens, anyone over 20 is an old fart. There's really no need to take what a stranger says to you personally. XD

I thought 27 was one foot in the grave when I was 16. I remember my sisters and I used to watch this YouTuber when we were teens until one day we found out he was 26 and we were shocked and actually embarrassed for him that he was so “old”.

At 24 I’m middle aged to 12 year olds, that’s just how kids view the world.

Tell them they need to go home to their online classes, don’t they have some SAT revision to do?

I must have been a weird kid, cause as I was 12, my parents were 47 and I didn't think they were old.

I always thought being old was like being a senior citizen, where your face has lots of wrinkles and you're all flabby.

There’s no dealing with ignorance. Women are their most attractive at 25 - 30. He probably has a misogynist after as a role model.

It’s a typical defender mechanism when they don’t like what they’re hearing. Not all teenagers learn accountability of their actions and words. Mentally, some of them haven’t left middle school. All you can do is pity some of them. Not all teenagers are a-holes.

Because you told them how to wear their mask like a Karen. They were dissing you because that annoyed them..

Maybe he probably meant that because you look older than them or it's probably also what litelander8 has mentioned.
