Yikes. I’m not much of a politics person. He pulled out of TPP, correct? I know we pulled out of NAFTA too (or replaced it, rather, with another controversial deal).
If we look at the history of this country, the Industrial Era was a boom because the US had a huge pool of cheap labor. It was a time of massive immigration.
American companies began moving companies overseas to take advantage of cheap labor in Asia, and South and Central America. Profits were huge. Nike made shoes in Vietnam for $12 but sold them here for $250.
Even Trump has his ties made in China. My point is that big business has always taken advantage of cheap labor and gotten all kinds of tax cuts and legislation friendly to them
