I think they should teach both sexes how both the body types function. I think most women are ignorant to how boys work and boys to how girls work. In school they often only teach boys how boys work and girls how girls do.
Wouldn't be too sure. I'm sure that is part of being a parent; that there is no blueprint.
That being said, both of my parents are in the medical field. Thus, they had no qualms about answering my sex based questions. I knew about penises and vaginas and breasts and birth before I was ten. I don't think I've been damaged by that. If anything, I am better human being because of it.
So the earlier the kid is tought about sex the better human being he would become ? Anyways thats not the problem here ,teaching is a tottaly differant story than showing!
I simply believe that humans should never be taught that their bodies are something which must be kept secret or hidden from others. It is states of mind like your own that cause people to snicker at the accidental boob slip. Even worse, your mentality strengthens the barriers between men and women.
Imagine a world where a boob slip is widely shrugged off or where people are comfortable being in their own skin. We, as a society, have forgotten that clothes were meant to protect us from the elements, not to hide from eachother.
If I have a child, I will answer his or her questions honestly. Whatever age that may be.
Do you know what you call what that girl did at the beach? It is called life. Life will happen without warning and it is something no one can protect their children from. A good parent will encourage the asking of questions when life does happen. This way, the parent ensures the childs understanding of the situation and the child can feel that their parents are trustworthy. If you teach children that sexuality is something to be kept in the dark, that is exactly how you will be when their sexual awakening occurs, in the dark.
Now, I have had no problem defending my perspective. I would like you to explain why I should feel appalled at what that girl did?
You are explaining why we should teach our kids through talking .. But also by showing them our private parts? That boy saw all her genitals ! And on the look at his face it was obvious it wasnt normal to him !!

I would not have any problem teaching my children how the bodies of both sexes function and where babies actually come from.
