Change the topic when it gets that annoying. And it does. My feeling is, when they're with or talking to you, it should be about your time, not reviewing their time with the bf. I have many female friends, and most don't talk about their bf's excessively, but one does. And, he's still married with 2 kids. She's living in a fantasy world regarding this guy.
All I hear is Mike this, Mike that, we're going to get married when the kids are older...And none of it will happen. He's not leaving his wife and kids for her, period. I've tried changing the topic to the house (I helped her move few years ago), her job, mutual people we know, etc, and still..She swings it to mentioning him somehow. Is kind of why I don't talk to her often. It's constant him him him. She's obsessed, but damn if I told her.
