    Well, you rejected him pretty harshly, but I don't think him going as far as threatening to tell your manager was normal.

    Did he actually threaten you into giving a number, or did you just give it as a peace offering?

    I voted "Not normal" for the both of you.

      threatening to tell a manager is not that great of a threat anyway. everyone needs a job, but i mean i deem a threat as much more.
