12yr difference

Phew I was worried 8 years was a big gap but reading these comments has really helped. I guess the age doesn't matter unless you/they are old enough to be your parent.

In my opinion as long as they're not young enough to be your son or underage, it's fine. You're both adults.

That depends on the people. I’ve seen people with a big age gap have great relationships and others not so great. I had a gf for a few years that was 10 years younger. Funny, when a song would come on the radio and she reminisced about hearing it at her junior high school dance and I remembered it from grad school, I felt like a cradle robber! The age gap didn’t cause our demise, but I felt that big a gap was at the max for me. However, keep in mind that people in their 20s often go through big changes. So, be prepared for him to be a bit of a different person in a few years.

If you're both happy then why wouldn't it be acceptable? Some of my best previous relationships have been with men considerably younger than myself. Enjoy!
