People should not put other people on pedestals period. It doesn't matter if your male or female, gay or straight, young or old, nor does it matter who it is you want to place on a pedestal. Just don't idolize or worship other people, because it's stupid and pointless.
There's nothing wrong with complimenting and supporting someone you love, but don't make that person your Higher Power.
