You just have a wild imagination, like me, the dark does not scare me, i can walk around in pitch black and not care until i start to think of what could be there be it creepy girl from the exorcist to demons i will then become shaking with fear and run to the nearest light source, it's really really annoying. Heights, makes perfect sense, millions of people have a fear of heights, i too used to, all you need to do is go to a very high point (make sure it is also safe) and stare down to the ground and you will get used to it very fast, as for butterflies it's really not that abnormal, both my girlfriend, her mother and my mother are scared of butterflies/moths.
