      • He'd be a traitor to any country that he belonged to-since as I said above he is undermining the loyalty one ought to have to the country they belong to.

Of course if that country is being ruled by fascists or a thug state, then he is justified even obligated to oppose them, but otherwise in a democracy he should be a supporter of the state that gives him the life he enjoys-which cannot be found in undemocratic states.

          • obviously I assumed you quoted an American, nonetheless my argument still stands. You're nit-picking because your argument failed.

            • No fail as i haven't said anything yet except for correcting YOU. You got it wrong not me, and you can't argue anything with me if you don't even know who he was.

What kind of tard just assumes someone is american and then trys to call someone on it.
Learn who he was before you argue and preach stupidity, then you'll know what it is you're actually arguing about!

              • Was this thread about Oscar Wilde and where he was born or was it about Patriotism? You quoted him and I pointed out that he was a traitor to hold such a view.

His place of origin is completely irrelevant to his claim. But since you obviously cannot refute what I've stated you think you've "won" simply because I didn't bother to look up the origins of the author.

Who actually bothers to look up such trivial information (as the author's place of birth) when someone posts a quote-especially when it has little to no relevance to the subject at hand?

But since you want to split hairs, let's talk about your idiotic statement then: "He can't be a traitor as he was irish not american. "

So wait, Irishmen cannot be traitors, only Americans can? lol, dumbass.

You'd come off looking a little smarter if you actually attempted to defend Wilde's statement rather than nitpick about him not being an American. Who gives a fuck either way. If he was from Nigeria, his statement would still be traitorous. Deal with that you pissant.
