I think to appreciate your country and understand patriotism you must understand how close our country has come to being invaded by the Japanese and the Nazis during WWII. Would you rather be free to come and go as you please throughout the entire country or being stopped at every state line by men with machine guns to check your comings and goings. It's obvious you have little knowledge of history and don't know what the men and women in the military have done to insure the freedoms you enjoy. Pick up a history book of WWII and see where they sank a Nazi sub right off the coast in Louisiana. Unless you would rather be saying Hail Hitler.
I understand where you are coming from but your kinda missing my point. I imagine hitler is the kind of guy to love patriotism, he managed to persuade an entire nation to fight for his fucked up cause. This is exactly the kind of mindless stupidity i am talking about, if anything it makes my point more valid.
So you have read a history book written by persons who have an agenda to perpetuate propaganda and lies. You ate it up, and believed every word of it.
Did it happen to mention that the United States government was actively pursuing many of the same policies as the Nazi Germany government was? Indeed, even after the war, the United States government adopted more Nazi policy.
Do you actually believe that you can come and go as you please today? Maybe not with checkposts and machine guns, but with technology, they are monitoring your every move. Step out of line, and they will come at you with semi-automatic weapons.
Heil Obama, Heil Romney!
So the fact that a submarine was off the Gulf coast is propaganda? Is Pearl Harbor a propaganda lie as well? I guess you don't read any history books then because heaven forbid you have an inkling of an idea of what has happened in our past. I am very aware of propaganda and the fact that the U.S. government and every government in this world utilizes it. Are you one of those nut cases that think the Holocaust was a lie too?!
Everyone now acknowledges that the Germans made several vital mistakes during the course of WWII, which ultimately dragged the United States into the war.
Although the Holocaust did happen, why do they portray it as only Jews being killed? Many other people (deemed to be unfit for society) were killed as well, but little is heard about them Could it be that the U.S. Government does not want it resurfacing that they had their own Eugenics program? So about 7 million people died because of the Nazi Eugenics Progam. Meanwhile, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Winston Churchill were having tea with Josef Stalin, who is responsible for brutally killing and starving about 17 million people. Why do we hear so little about them?
Now we can continue griping about these injustices of the past, which does nothing because those responsible are now all dead, or we can look towards the future, correct the injustices of today, so these kind of events do not occur again.
Patriotism annoys me...
